What needs to change, and why?

Write down the problems you want to solve and the features you want to keep. Is your priority appearance, storage or a changing way of life? Agree who makes decisions and how competing needs will be prioritised.

What do the budget and timeline include?

Separate design, construction, products, deliveries and unforeseen work. Avoid treating early estimates as fixed prices before the existing condition is understood. Allow flexibility between construction, delivery and move-in dates.

Which technical checks are needed?

Services, structure, building management conditions and required permissions need project-specific review. Removing walls or relocating wet areas cannot be decided from appearance alone. Record the scope, responsibilities and approval steps in writing.
